PRESENTATION

The role of the lawyer post-pandemic 2022: the dynamics of working in polarised societies, the changing image of lawyers, and the evolution of legal practice

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Congress, which will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria and which will address extremely interesting topics for the legal profession – the role of lawyers after the pandemic in 2022: the dynamics of work in polarized societies, the changing image of lawyers and the evolution of legal practice, digitalisation and innovation. The program of the Congress, including the General Assembly of the FBE is extremely rich and will be held in the period 22-25.06.2022.

We are waiting for you to share with each other the experience and problems in practicing the legal profession and to be together after the covid era in a truly unforgettable environment.

European Bars Federation (Fédération des Barreaux d’Europe – FBE) was founded in Barcelona on 23 May 1992 as the successor to the Conference of Great European Bars. It is headquartered in Strasbourg. FBE membership is open to all national and local bar associations within the Council of Europe. The FBE currently has 250 members, representing more than 1,000,000 lawyers.

The goals of the organization are to work for the practical application of the principle of the rule of law, for the development of the rule of law, the independence of the judiciary and the right to a fair trial and the protection of human rights in Europe and around the world.

The FBE is actively intervening in many jurisdictions where the above principles are threatened, such as Poland, Russia, Romania and others.

The FBE has standing committees and ad hoc commissions. The former are dedicated to the universal and basic aspects of the Federation’s activities, while the latter are created to address individual issues of a local nature.

FBE organizes two annual congresses, each time in a different European city. These events offer opportunities to discuss issues common to European lawyers and to share information and experience.
